By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Alex Couture 2015-03-14 07:46:32 CDT
Hi,

On Ubuntu 14.10 with TDE R14 nightly build on my Asus EEE X101CH, TDM is not capable of starting Unity.

While this problem only concerns Unity and Ubuntu, the underlying problem is probably that when you install TDE on top of a plain Ubuntu standard install, TDM looks like it is still set to start by default to Unity. What happens is that the login works, but you get stuck with nothing on the screen, except TDM's default background, with no way of getting out of it, except by rebooting from another virtual terminal.

I think that when TDM (and TDE) is installed on a system, it is more than likely because the user wants to use it, so it could be okay set TDE as default in TDM.

Thank you!

I think that this problem is fixed in commits aa0711c1 and fce47f53 (tdebase) - see bug 2521.
