By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Francois Andriot 2015-07-27 08:41:52 CDT
Hello, on RHEL 5, using Python 2.6, superkaramba now FTBFS.
It happens since commit: 36230c0b

In order to build, I have to revert the following 3 renaming:

PyBytes_CheckExact => PyString_CheckExact

PyBytes_AsString => PyString_AsString

PyBytes_FromString => PyString_FromString

Interestingly, on Debian 6.0 (Squeeze), Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) and Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick) is also python 2.6 - specifically, 2.6.5 and 2.6.6 - but FTBFS do not occur.

Sorry my mistake, I've just checked again and RHEL 5 is using Python 2.4, not 2.6.
(Python 2.6 is used in RHEL 6 btw)

Francois,
since this is also related to RHEL like 2487, should be close as "wontfix"?
Comment 4 Michele Calgaro 2019-11-24 07:54:45 CST
Closing this as "wontfix".
Francois has adviced that support for RHEL 5 is no longer provided.
