By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Example of output result

Hi,

(as pointed out on the user mailing list)

We have to remember that the Moodin theme engine was completely broken as of KDE 3.5.10, and now Tim added (for me! Thanks!)
a feature to resize properly the background picture to fill the screen, to adapt it to the resolution.
It does work, but as I already pointed out in a bug report about Gwenview and KuickShow, the resize picture is not of very good quality.

I think that something could be done to get a high-quality resized picture, probably just changing an argument to the resizing engine.
I posted 2 picture, to let you see the difference, and if this problem is solved, it will enhance tremendously the appearance of this splash.

TDM is able to produce a high-quality resized picture, but Gwenview, KuickShow and KSplash Moodin engine can't.

Have a great day!

I think a possible option could be to modify the moodin engine and allow the use of multiple background files based on the display resolution. These files could be setup in the Theme.rc file.
In case the display does not match any available resolution, the engine could simply use the closest one available without resizing, or we could have one very high resolution picture to size down.
What do you think?

Hi,

I'm sorry to say that it is not a good solution at all, since today's LCD all have slightly different ratios and resolutions. We're not in 2001 anymore where everyone used 800x600 or 1024x768 on their heavy CRT monitors. Even with a picture of a similar resolution, the old resizing engine will produce an even uglier result.

This is why the TDE picture resizing engine probably needs a rework, to get in the current century.
