By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Felix Miata 2016-02-18 19:34:33 CST
Trying to do anything regarding openSUSE 42.1 since yesterday, as has happened in the past, produces fatal repo errors, typically as follows:

File '/repodata/repomd.xml' not found on medium 'http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/trinity/rpm/opensuse42.1/trinity-R14/RPMS/x86_64'

As http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/repodata/ is not accessible via web browser, there's no way for a user to determine the reason for the error. The baseurl for actual packages is currently resolving to http://tde-mirror.yosemite.net here, so some packages can be accessed, just not enough to acquire or update a working installation.

This error is not limited to attempting to install/remove/search trinity packages, but occurs during virtually every attempt to utilize any openSUSE package management function as long as Trinity repos are enabled. Access to repomd.xml files are essential to usable openSUSE repos, making this a major problem.

Beware, as on any standard Unix system, are distinguished by upper / lower case and R14 in url must be with small 'r'. See:

http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/trinity/rpm/opensuse42.1/trinity-r14/RPMS/x86_64

What info do you want? That's the same URL as in comment 0, one that produces access to the packages, just not to the file http://tde-mirror.yosemite.net/repodata/repomd.xml, which produces 404 in web browser as well.

No, it just is not the same url. In your url in comment 0 was 'trinity-R14' (big 'R'), which is wrong. While in comment 1 is url 'trinity-r14' (small 'r'), which is correct. See:

http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/trinity/rpm/opensuse42.1/trinity-r14/RPMS/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml

Therefore, I want information whether correcting a big 'R' to small 'r' in the URL solves your problem :)

Long ago I used https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/OpenSUSEInstall to build a miniscript to create the repos. I also saved the repos resulting from using it on the LAN server. So, where the capital R came from I'm at a loss to explain. Looking in browser history of my primary browser profile sorted by URL, none of the trinity entries have a capital R. The errors are gone with the R removed from the repo config file, so R14 is now nicely working on the 42.1 installation.

Nevertheless, the package management error string '/repodata/repomd.xml' resulting from the config file error is misleading. http://tde-mirror.yosemite.net/trinity/trinity/rpm/opensuse42.1/trinity-r14/RPMS/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml, the actual file, is obviously quite different from http://tde-mirror.yosemite.net/repodata/repomd.xml, the one indicated by the message. Whether the misleading message could be fixed within some TDE package or component, or results exclusively from curl, wget, zypper, libzypp or something else, I can't venture to guess.
