By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Salvo 'LtWorf' Tomaselli 2016-02-21 17:05:29 CST
In kmail it is not possible to sign or decrypt emails because I get a message that pinentry is not installed.

I have the pinentry-qt package installed, and I've also tried installing the pinentry-gtk2 but the result is still the same.

Ciao Salvo,
for reference only, which TDE version are u using? Which distro?
Can u post a screenshot of the error? That may help to know where to look for when we will address this bug report.

It's a debian problem.

pinentry-qt doesn't work. I've had the same problem when building a package and failing to sign it.

pinentry-qt4 is the one that works.

pinentry-qt is for KDE5 - they just reused the name

indeed only pinentry-qt4 or pinentry-gtk3 works.

However the good news is here: http://bugs.pearsoncomputing.net/show_bug.cgi?id=2830

I used it to compile pinentry-tqt and it works great.

regards
