By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2010-09-08 00:48:26 CDT
With the KDED Media Manager running, upon exiting KDE the following error message always appears twice:

kded: ERROR: : couldn't create slave : Cannot talk to klauncher
kded: ERROR: : couldn't create slave : Cannot talk to klauncher

The message seems to be generated from two places:

kdelibs/kio/kio/slave.cpp:
error_text = i18n("Cannot talk to klauncher");

kdelibs/kio/kio/scheduler.cpp:
kdError() <<": couldn't create slave : " << errortext << endl;

Sometimes KDE does not exit quickly and this bug might be related. Yet another annoying error message the KDE devs ignored. :(
Comment 1 Darrell 2010-09-20 17:53:13 CDT
This bug might be quashed in Trinity. I'll add further comments after I have tested and used Trinity for an extended period.
Comment 2 Timothy Pearson 2010-09-30 14:08:50 CDT
I'm going to go ahead and close this bug, as it looks to be a one-time problem with an older build of Trinity. If the problem still persists with newer builds then please reopen the bug.

Thanks!
