By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Q4OS Team 2016-08-12 02:40:12 CDT
I was trying to put the lower panel to the left side, but this lead to unusable system and/or desktop crash.

After investigating, I have worked out the cause of this bug, and found a simple workaround. The error will arise, if clock is enabled to be shown in the system tray. If I disable to show clock in the system tray and add it as an applet, I am able to move the panel to any screen edge with no issue.

Hi there,
I am trying to replicate the problem, without success so far.
Can you post a screenshot of the configuration/type of clock/location and whatever else you think is useful? Hopefully this will allow me to replicate the proble.
Thanks

Hi, exact steps to reproduce:
- Fresh TDE stable (14.0.3) installation on Debian Jessie https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/DebianInstall
- Configure system tray ...
- Check 'Show Clock in Tray' checkbox
- Move panel to left side, panel is unusable

ok, thanks.

Problem confirmed, definitely something is wrong when showing the clock in the system tray. If panel is moved to the left or right side, the clock is not shown and some other icons or buttons are not initially visible.
Is this what you have also observed? Thanks
Comment 5 Q4OS Team 2016-08-31 11:06:17 CDT
Yes, it's exactly what I have observed.

I have done some work earlier this week before going on a family trip. I now have a "stable" panel on the left or right side but the clock is still not resized correctly, so more work is needed. The target is to get the systray clock and the applet clock to behave in the exactly same way.
Comment 7 Michele Calgaro 2016-09-22 09:23:15 CDT
Fixed in commit d5feffd (R14.1.x) and ec61487 (R14.0.x).
Simple fix but find where the problem was took a long time ;-)
Comment 8 Michele Calgaro 2016-09-22 09:24:03 CDT
Forgot to say that now the clock in the systray and the clock applet behaves exactly the same.
