By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description mgb-trinity 2016-11-07 11:47:16 CST
libtqt3-mt 4:14.0.4~pre4-0debian8.0.0+3 depends libjpeg8 (>= 8c).

But there is no libjpeg8 in Jessie (see left column):
https://packages.qa.debian.org/libj/libjpeg8.html

r14.0.4-pre used libjpeg62-turbo which is appropriate for Jessie.

I've used severity critical because this might affect a lot of people very soon as tdeutils-trinity depends tdessh-trinity depends libtqt3-mt depends libjpeg8.

I've used OS=Linux because bug tracker does not offer option for Debian Jessie.

Sorry, things are more complicated than reported initially due to the inconsistent state of the test system following the failed upgrade with packages having two versions - the config version and the unpacked version.

The problem appears to have been caused by a transient state as a volatile mixture of 14.0.3 and 14.0.4 percolates through apt/lists.

Downgrading severity to normal and changing status to needinfo.

I'll retry 14.0.4 once it stabilizes and update this report accordingly.

You use url for apt source on mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org? With this url you should be able to install R14.0.4 without complications (on amd64 and i386).

For confirmation:

libtqt3-mt 4:14.0.4-0debian8.0.0+0 depends on libjpeg62-turbo (>= 1.3.1)

It surprised me what apt source you have used because for maintenance releases packages with ~pre in version are never published into the official repository.

Sorry, it took me a while to track it down.

We had installed a pre version of libtqt3-mt because it was needed by the pre version of kweather-trinity which we needed because the old version didn't know the current National Weather Service URLs.

Changing status to RESOLVED+INVALID.
