By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Jim 2016-12-09 21:12:14 CST
I wanted to use k3b to duplicate a dvd.
When I started copying it, the k3b process ate more and more of my system memory,
but did not copy any data to the .iso file.
When it got to 6 GB (that's RSS, not VSIZE) I killed it (my system "only" has 8GB of RAM).

I have k3b-2.0.3 from the Slackware 14.2 kde packages also on my system, and that copied the DVD without problem.

I've just been hit by the same bug. Tried to copy Audio CD and DVD. K3B eats all RAM and then gets killed by OOM killer. Trinity 14.0.5 on Debian Stretch.

Had to use Windows to do the work :(

Well, given that it isn't just me, I am wondering whether
(a) nobody uses k3b any more, or
(b) it works for some/most people.

Anyone out there in trinity land reading this who care to comment on whether they ever successfully use k3b?

k3b works for creating CD/DVDs (except for audio CD with CD-Text) but not for copying.
