By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Kristopher 2017-02-07 18:22:06 CST
When I try to install either Kaffeine or Amarok on a fresh installation of CentOS 6, I get a complaint from yum that they require libxine.so.1 which is not available. The only repository it is available in is rpmfusion, but that requires an outdated ImageMagick package that has been superseded by a new version in the core repos..

I have both epel and nux-dextop enabled by default along with the core update repositories.

Since xine seems to be coming from the nux-dextop repo, I emailed the maintainer, who said it used to be in epel but now seems to be retired. He didn't say whether or not he would add it to nux-dextop.

Hello, I confirm that libxine on CentOS 6 used to be provided by EPEL.
It looks like the NUX maintainer has heard your request, and since today, the package is in NUX repository.

Since Amarok and Kaffeine are working with the new package from nux-dextop, there isn't a need to provide it via the TDE repo, so I'm marking this as resolved.
