By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Frank 2017-04-17 03:08:51 CDT
This report is related to TDE R14.0 on Debian Jessie 8.7.

The Adept Notifier icon in the system tray shows there are updates. I left-click on the icon and I give my password in the window shown.

Then Adept Updater shows a window that should list the updates (I suppose). It keeps showing the message "Loading..." instead.

However, statistics are being updated and shown in the status bar.

Giving Adept some time, I finally close the window with the upper-right x-button. Adept crashes. When closing via the Adept menu 'Quit' the window is properly closed. This bug may be related to 2768.

A crash-report has been sent (TDECRSH-c5731bd-2975832-56cd65b-6cd4b52-9475e92-c07c962-f9f68d5)

I created a new crash report with more debug-symbols:

Looking at all trinity adept packages, it appears that there is a broken dependency.

For example, I cannot install the package 'adept-installer-trinity' directly. The error message in Synaptic says:

adept-installer-trinity:
Depends: adept-common-trinity but it is not going to be installed
Depends: app-install-data but it is not installable
Depends: libept0-trinity but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: libtqt-perl but it is not going to be installed

Apparently, the package 'app-install-data' is not in the Debian Jessie main repository (anymore).

However, I can install 'adept-notifier-trinity' which automatically installs the two adept dependencies 'adept-common-trinity' and 'adept-updater-trinity' out of the seven adept packages. So the other adept packages are not installed along with the notifier. Maybe this has something to do with the bugs.

Adept will be dropped in R14.1.0. No more work will be done on Adept.
