By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Felix Miata 2018-06-14 03:40:13 CDT
To reproduce:
1-online (zypper) upgrade 42.1/TDE 14.0.4 installation to 15.0/14.0.4
2-reboot
3-do "Ctrl-Alt-Fn"
4-do "yast2 alternatives"
5-try to switch default session to TDE

Actual behavior:
1-XDM greeter opens
2-offering for TDE as default session is absent

Expected behavior:
1-TDM opens, but if not
2-yast2 alternatives offers /usr/share/xsessions/tde.desktop as a default session selection

I have several 15.0/TDE installations created variously. IIRC, most if not all do not have /usr/share/xsessions/tde.desktop as the default in /etc/alternatives/, which results in startx starting IceWM instead of TDE.

On 15.0 host gx78b I got tde to be default session by doing:

update-alternatives --install /usr/share/xsessions/default.desktop default-xsession.desktop /usr/share/xsessions/tde.desktop 30

Thanks for your analysis.
It looks like we also need a similar command for TDM, e.g:

update-alternatives --install /usr/lib/X11/displaymanagers/default-displaymanager default-displaymanager /usr/lib/X11/displaymanagers/tdm 30

I'll try and upload the updated packages soon.
