By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Felix Miata 2018-06-25 12:58:09 CDT
Initial Summary: "[opensuse] trinity-tdebase requires trinity-tdm"

https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/OpenSUSEInstall says:

"To install minimalist, substitute trinity-tdebase for trinity-desktop, and append trinity-tdm if you wish to use TDM as your display manager"

which strongly suggests trinity-tdm is an optional package. I tried simply 'zypper in trinity-tdebase' on a young host i2134 (iMac) 15.0 installation that has 'solver.onlyRequires = true' in /etc/zypp/zypp.conf, expecting to _not_ see trinity-tdm installed to possibly wrest control from sddm. The 53 new packages selected to install included trinity-tdm.

If trinity-tdebase really requires trinity-tdm, the wiki should be changed. If it's not, it shouldn't be installed as a dependency.

Trinity-tdebase installed itself as /etc/alternatives/default-displaymanager. That should be fine as long as it is intentionally installed, not fine when not.
