By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Alexis PM 2019-01-19 14:44:43 CST
Quanta has 3 editor modes: sources editor, VPL editor, and mixed sources/VPL editor.

In sources editor mode, I can write "¿Hola qué tal estás en España?" without problems. But in VPL editor, when I write this same, "¿Hola qu´e tal est´as en España?" is written. The same thing happens in the mixed sources/VPL editor mode view (if I write in the source editor section is well, but if I write in the VPL editor section is wrong).

It is a pity because very few free WYSIWYG HTML editors are currently available (NVU died, KompoZer died, BlueGriffon was half privatized, SeaMonkey Composer has been years without improvements and still does not have the slightest syntax highlighting).

I have TDE 14.0.5 in Debian with physical Spanish keyboard, all works fine configured in Spanish UTF8 except Quanta. In Quanta, in Preferences > Settings > Environment, UTF8 is the default character codification.

Hola Alexis,
I am not a Quanta expert. Is there any other settings for keyboard or character encoding in Quanta's page. The problem description seems a bit weird or surprising, in fact.
Just wondering.

No configuration options (GUI or $HOME/.trinity/share/config/quantarc) allows to fix it.
Specify that the well accented letters written using the sources editor look good in any editor mode (sources and VPL editor modes) and conversely the wrong accented letters (accents not above the letters) that Quanta produces in VPL editor mode look wrong in any editor mode (sources and VPL editor modes).
The bug occurs when typing anyone presses the accent key followed by a vowel key: it works as expected in the source editor mode (áéíóú) but not in the VPL editor mode (´a´e´i´o´u).
I can not say what happens when anyone pastes accented vowels because paste works in the source editor mode but not in the VPL editor mode (in VPL editor mode does not work nor 'Edit > Paste' menu option nor 'Ctrl V' key combination). Maybe I would have to report "Paste action does not work in Quanta in VPL editor mode" as separated bug...
