By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2010-10-01 17:15:55 CDT
Kompare fails to maintain a correct (MRU (Most Recently Used) list. Only the last selections are correctly maintained.

Hi Darrell,
can you provide more info? I tried some tests and seems that Kompare keeps the list of source and destination updated, even between different executions.
If you can provide a way to reproduce this, I will look into it.

I haven't looked at this in a long time. This could well be one of those bugs that inadvertently/unknowingly got fixed along the way. I had so long ago gotten into the habit that the MRU did not update correctly that I have not bothered checking.

I will empty the MRU to start with a clean slate, wait until the MRU is populated to the maximum number, and then observe whether the list continues to update. Might be a few days but I use kompare often, so should not be too long of a wait.

This bug still exists. The problem does not appear until both drop-down lists are fully populated to the max count. Thereafter each list updates only with the most recent selection while the remainder of each list remains static.

Thanks Darrell, when I have some free time I will look into this bug as well.
I think I also see the same behavior in the File Selector of TDevelop. If you can double check that as well when you have time I would appreciate :)

I don't use TDevelop. Something I have wanted to learn for a long time. :)

I'll work on this bug. I have a feeling that it is the same bug that afflicts Kate's and TDevelop's file selector MRU.

Setting bug status back to NEW.
This bug will be fixed after R14 is out of the door, since it affects several applications (not just Kompare)
