By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Jan Stolarek 2019-07-29 05:30:55 CDT
After upgrading to Debian Buster selecting "Open with... -> GIMP" from a context menu does not work. The reason is that file `$HOME/.local/share/applications/gimp.desktop` says `Exec[$e]=gimp-2.8 %U` but Debian Buster comes with GIMP 2.10. Solution is to change the line to `Exec[$e]=gimp %U`. I'm not sure whether this is a problem that I introduced into my system by myself or something that comes from upstream TDE. Either way, this is trivially fixed.

I think this is not a bug in TDE.

I assume that the $HOME/.local/share/applications/gimp.desktop file may have been created as a result of menu editing. Such a file is then managed by the user and neither installation of GIMP nor TDE can ensure its modification.

You can check that /usr/share/applications/gimp.desktop contains the correct GIMP binary name? Your recommended fix would have to be done in GIMP, not in TDE.
