By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2010-10-04 09:50:53 CDT
Consistent with similar upstream library packages, such as SIP and PyQt3, several packages in the Trinity SVN duplicate upstream efforts. Unless there are overriding reasons, such as tqtinterface requirements, these packages should be considered candidates for removal from the Trinity SVN tree.

python-kde3 (http://www.riverbankcomputing.co.uk/)
libkdcraw (http://www.kipi-plugins.org/)
libkexiv2 (http://www.kipi-plugins.org/)
kipi-plugins (http://www.kipi-plugins.org/)
libkipi (http://www.kipi-plugins.org/)

TQtinterface breaks direct compatibility, so yes, that is an overriding reason.
Also for the kipi-plugins, they don't look maintained upstream to me anymore.

Realize that we'll be still pulling patches from upstream should we need to, but Trinity has diverged significantly from the original codebase.

Also I would like to mention that the "upstream" sources are changing VERY slowly, and in many cases not changing at all, making it a rather bad idea to pull from a known dying source.
