By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

In KDE and Trinity, the Show Desktop button minimizes all apps to the panel. When any new app from the desktop or Quick Start tray in the panel is started, all minimized apps open/restore along with the new app.

Some people like that behavior and some don't. Some prefer that only the new app opens and the other apps remain minimized.

There should be a configuration option to select the preferred behavior.

In KDE4, kwinrc [Windows], there is a config option ShowDesktopIsMinimizeAll that regulates this behavior. Perhaps that code snippet can be massaged for this request. Adding a KControl GUI control would be nice too (Desktop->Behavior?).

This report is listed as an enhancement request.For me the problem has become a bug. A nuisance that motivates me to use a different desktop environment.

When I select the Show Desktop applet in the panel, I expect all apps to remain minimized. Period.

I select Show Desktop to minimize all apps. I insert a USB flash drive. An icon appears on the desktop. I double-click the icon to open konqueror. All apps that were minimized after selecting the Show Desktop applet are restored rather than remain minimized.

This is not a feature. This is a bug.

This bug is becoming a nuisance. I hope something is done in R14.0.1.

I believe the ssolution will be a kcontrol option to distinguish between 'show desktop' and 'minimize all'. For me I want ShowDesktop == ShowDesktopIsMinimizeAll. I want all windows to remain minimized when I open any new window or any TDE dialog appears after I selected the Show Desktop button.
