By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

synaptic gives,
 kde-kde3:
  Depends: kdepim-kde3 but it is not going to be installed
  Depends: desktop-base-kde3  but it is not installable

You can see, kdepim-kde3 can be manually installed, but desktop-base-kde3 does not exist.

I tried to install kdepim-kde3 with Adept Manager. It adds 10 dependencies, all marked with "install" in green, except kdepim-kde3 itself, which is marked "BREAK (install)" in red. I decided not to install it, for fear of breaking something.

This problem does not appear to exist under TDE 3.5.13.  If you still experience the problem please repoen this bug report.
