By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description John A. Sullivan III 2011-01-22 21:10:38 CST
To use Iceweasel in our Debian Lenny Trinity based virtual desktop, we had been setting ICEWEASEL_DSP="esddsp" in /etc/iceweasel/iceweaselrc. We would have prefered to use padsp as we are really using pulseaudio and not esd but padsp produced segmentation faults when launching Iceweasel from Lenny backports.

With the latest upgrades to Lenny (Iceweasel 3.5.16-4~bpo50+1), we found that padsp works and were very eager to change that in iceweaselrc. Launching iceweasel from the command line works flawlessly.

However, when we launched Iceweasel from the kmenu, we saw nothing on the screen but there was a firefox process running.

When we run kgtk2-wrapper iceweasel %u from the command line, it simply hangs - no output whatsoever to screen, stdout, or stderr. If we revert iceweaselrc to esddsp, it launches perfectly.

I have no idea why kgtk2-wrapper would introduce this problem but we would very much like to go to native pulse support in Iceweasel. Thanks - John

Is this report still valid?

Closing WONTFIX as kgtk-wrapper was deprecated and removed quite some time ago.
