By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description magez.magez 2011-01-23 15:59:21 CST
It's possible to move the file/dir selector in file dialogs with cursor keys. One would expect, that the "Down" cursor key will move the file selector one position down and "Up" cursor key one position up, but in some cases the file selector skips some files/dirs and sometimes even get stuck in loop (as shown on attached sequence of screenshots - every screenshot was made after one "Down" cursor hit).

Same behavior can be seen on Slackware 13 IIRC. Same behavior could be seen in Debian Lenny KDE 3.5.10 (so I assume it's quite old and funny bug :) ).

Bug exists in GIT (2013-05-22). Note: the bug only affects the Short View (F6) and not the Detailed View (F7).

Be sure to open a really large directory like /usr/lib and then have fun trying to traverse the directory. The Up arrow seems to work a tad better than the Down arrow albeit still buggy. Whereas the Up arrow will move to a previous column, the Down arrow seems always stuck in the same column.

This bug also affects the multi-column-view in Konqueror in TDE R14.0.0 on Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS (amd64).

It makes navigating/selecting via keyboard completely unusable.

I found out, that this bug has been reported in KDE bugtracker (ID 79370) a few years ago and it has been resolved in KDE4.

It seems that its a problem with the underlying list-control of QT3, so maybe its a workaround to use a file manager which isn't based on it, until TDE has been ported to QT4.

Confirmed as still existing in the current trunk (R14.1.x). It is going to be a nice bug to work on, although it is probably too late for a fix to be included in the (somehow upcoming) r14.0.1 release.
Comment 8 Michele Calgaro 2015-07-13 01:00:14 CDT
Fixed in commit d6867cf (qt3/master) and 42dcb07 (tqt3/master).
The same fix will be pushed to r14.0.x branch once r14.0.1 has been tagged.
Comment 9 Michele Calgaro 2015-08-26 09:59:17 CDT
Patch pushed to r14.0.x branch in in commit d1fd5b9 (qt3) and fdcad49 (tqt3).

Strange move in konqueror view

I try tqt 14.0.2~pre2 in Konqueror (list from tdeio-locate), and quite accidentally I still noticing a problem when move left and right. Move up and down is in order. See attached screencast (ogg video).

Hi Slavek, thanks for letting me know. I think I know where the problem could be, I shall try to reproduce the problem locally as soon as I have some time.
Comment 12 Michele Calgaro 2015-09-07 10:05:06 CDT
Fixed again in commits:
- qt3 : d27f4e2 (master), dc2dea0 (r14.0.x)
- tqt3: e418211 (master), 2c678d1 (r14.0.x)
