By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description David C. Rankin 2011-02-28 17:06:22 CST
The current defaults seen in kcontrol -> Login Manager are:

Greeting: Welcome to Kubuntu at %n

that should be changed to a distro neutral: "Welcome to Trinity" or something similar.

Also the Greeting font is 22 pt. 14 would be fine. Under the fonts tab, you have:

General: San Serif 10pt (fine, but I use 8pt)
Failure: San Serif 10pt (fine)
Greeting: San Serif 22pt (huge, 14pt is large, but OK)

Obviously the font size is a 'preference', but if we can get them to suit the greatest number of users and reduce the number who have to change them on each instal, the Trinity just works better (out of the box). The current 10pt setting work fine, but I would suggest dropping the 22 pt greeting to 14 pt. At 14pt, the font looks bold, even though it is the normal setting. Also, reducing the font size gives a much 'cleaner' looking interface. (less fluffy bubblegum looking desktop)

I have also updated the wiki with additional information on all suggestions for Trinity default settings:

Hi David,
I can't find any reference to KUbuntu strings related to tdm.
Is this still valid? If so, which tdm theme are you using?

RE font, as you mention it is a matter of preference and with screen with bigger and bigger resolution, it is probably not a bad thing at this stage to keep the sizes as they are.

The old wiki page is gone. If you any suggestion related to default, please let us know.

If all is good and nothing required, please advice that the bug can be closed.

Hi David,
any feedback (see comment 2 dated Aug 28)?

As explained in comment 2, I don't see any reference to KUbuntu strings related to tdm.
Since there has been no reply, Slavek and I have decided to close the bug.
If you still see the issue, feel free to reopen.
