By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description mart1303 2011-03-13 13:04:47 CDT
pidgin doesn't start with the normal user, only as root
abiword can start, but the saving brings "open file" dialog and abiword crashes

It seems there is a relation to kgtk-qt3-kde3 (because of the false menu)

The bug shows only in Ubuntu Maverick (live DVD and install on hard-disk as well), Ubuntu Lucid works fine for abiword and pidgin as well.

The bug occurs by every try, I mean it is limitless repeatable.

I have the abiword problem here on my workstation karmic 9.10/kde 3.5.11 system.

HOWEVER... Quite by accident I found that starting abiword from the command line does NOT exhibit this behaviour.

Data Point: abiword on my newly updated/upgraded netbook 10.04/kde 3.5.11 does NOT have this problem. Go figure...
