By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2011-12-07 18:54:28 CST
Konqueror does a good job copying directories but is fairly slow. Specifically, the copy dialog box slows the operation. A copy operation from the command line or midnight commander is noticeably faster than Konqueror.

The slowness likely is the way the dialog box updates itself.

I'm submitting this as a minor bug rather than enhancement request.
Comment 1 Darrell 2012-02-04 14:26:47 CST
Probably related to bug report 699.

Seems that konqueror performs some kind of recursive file listing before starting any copying operation. Likewise when deleting directories.

Copying directories with midnight commander is lightning fast. So much so that often I open konsole and copy directories there rather than wait for konqueror.
Comment 2 Darrell 2013-04-03 22:29:29 CDT
FYI: KDE4 has this improvement in both Dolphin and Konqueror. Very nice not to have to wait a long time. Perhaps some code snippets can be massaged from KDE4.

I posted Comment 2 in the wrong report. The correct report is 699.
