By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2012-01-03 16:22:39 CST
At least two apps do not use the user's full KDialog: KFileReplace (twebdev) and Ark (tdeutils).

Both use a simple KRunner-like dialog to select from a drop-down history. This is fine, but when selecting the respective file button to select a location not in the history list, the subsequent KDialog is generic and not the user's full blown KDialog with a toolbar, bookmarks, custom side bar locations, etc.

The generic KDialog is cumbersome for navigating to known locations.

The request is to update these apps to use the user's full blown KDialog.

Darell can you be more specific?

Do you mean the "exract to" dialog in Ark? that is the only one which wasn't
like the othrers.

Same goes for kfilereplace...

Ark:

* Open an archived file with Ark.
* Select the Extract toolbar button.
* Ensure the "Extract all files" dialog box appears.
* Select the small folder icon to the far right of the text box.
* Ensure the Select Folder dialog box appears.

KFileReplace:

* Select the new session toolbar button (first button on the left).
* Ensure the Search and Replace in Files dialog box appears.
* In the Startup Folder Options section, select the small folder icon to the far right of the text box.
* Ensure the Project Directory dialog box appears.

Niether dialog box is a full KDialog. For example, there are no bookmarks.

As a contrast, start kompare.

Ensure the Files tab is selected.

Select the little folder icon to the far right of either text box.

Notice the full toolbar.

I've gotten to the point where this has irritated me too long and qualifies as a bug rather than an enhancement. I'll try to tinker with this but with my (lack of) C++ skills we'll see how far I get. :-)
