By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2012-01-28 21:30:05 CST
When using the far right side Documentation pane, there is a right-click popup option to "Download Documentation."

The option no longer functions because the quanta.kdewebdev.org web site no longer exists.

Further, the link was changed during the renaming project to quanta.tdewebdev.org, which does not exist.

Solution requires updating the link to the Trinity web site and then finding the original source tarballs for the documentation so users actually can download the documentation files.

Looks like the documentation files are archived here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/quanta/files/Docs/Documentations%20%282005-12-01%29/

I grabbed copies.

I doubt we want to use this sourceforge link to download these documentation files because the sourceforge links are redirected to another link.

Second, if I recall correctly, when the user selected the "Download Documentation" option, a list appeared and the user selected which sets of documentation to download. The sourceforge links won't support the current design, only direct links will do that.

There is a collection of other documentation files I want to make available to Trinity users to resolve this bug report. I will post more information later after I understand how this whole downloading process is supposed to function (challenging to figure that out now with the web site gone).

Basically, unless there are licensing issues, all of these additional documentation tarballs could be part of the tdewebdev package when built. That would eliminate the need to download anything. or at least available at the Trinity web site with the links in the source code repaired.

Patch to update documentation download links

This patch updates the links in the /opt/trinity/share/apps/quanta/doc/intro.html (Welcome) and documentation.html pages. The updated links are to sourceforge files, which the original source code shows was the original location too. The actual links have changed since the original sources were written and sourceforge has since changed to using redirects. But the patch does at least now reflect correct web links.

The Download Documentation optioin remains broken. :)

A note: Quanta Plus does not seem to honor the TDEDIRS environment variable. When I copy /opt/trinity/share/apps/quanta/doc files to my TDEDIRS location that are modified duplicates of those files in the TDEDIR location, Quanta Plus shows both pages rather than only the one in TDEDIRS. For example, there will be two Welcome links.
