By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Darrell 2012-03-05 11:11:58 CST
The tdm.log file is never purged. The file just keeps growing. This goes back to KDE3.

Like Xorg.0.log, tdm.log should be deleted and started fresh with each new TDM session. Like Xorg.0.log, a single backup could be created for debugging purposes.

To avoid having an endlessly growing file, a workaround is to create a 'logrotate' configuration file with the following content:

/var/log/tdm.log {
    weekly
    notifempty
    missingok
    nocompress
}

I'm creating this file in the tdebase package. File name is '/etc/logrotate.d/tdm'.
Comment 2 Stefan Krusche 2018-07-05 13:30:54 CDT
The name of the log file /var/log/tdm.log and the name of the file which is configured in /etc/logrotate.d/tdm don't match no more so tdm.log again grows ad infinitum.

The content of the file /etc/logrotate.d/tdm is:

/var/log/tdm-trinity.log {
    rotate 7
    daily
    compress
    delaycompress
    copytruncate
    missingok
    notifempty
}

from tdm-trinity_4%3a14.0.4-0debian8.0.0+0_amd64.deb to tdm-trinity_4%3a14.0.5~pre35-0debian9.0.0+5_amd64.deb (PSB) as far as I can inspect on my system.

This has been fixed in commit 23556cbbc (R14.1) and d4ece6c6b (R14.0).
