By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Henk Poley 2012-03-14 09:39:19 CDT
While following the install instructions at http://trinitydesktop.org/installation.php#ubuntu I got a preposterous dependency resolution, which is caused by sudo-trinity. Below a copy from the more descriptive aptitude:

$ sudo aptitude install sudo-trinity
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  sudo-trinity{b}
0 packages upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 2 not upgraded.
Need to get 0 B/434 kB of archives. After unpacking 741 kB will be used.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  sudo-trinity: Conflicts: sudo but 1.7.4p6-1ubuntu2 is installed.
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:

      Remove the following packages:
1)      libc6
2)      libc6-dev
3)      libgcc1
4)      libgomp1
5)      libquadmath0
6)      libstdc++6
7)      libx11-6
8)      libx11-dev
9)      libxau-dev
10)     libxau6
11)     libxcb1
12)     libxcb1-dev
13)     libxdmcp-dev
14)     libxdmcp6
15)     linux-libc-dev
16)     sudo
17)     zlib1g

sudo-trinity seems to install fine in debian. Perhaps it was a temporary problem.
Reopen if you can reproduce the problem systematically and provide detailed instructions.
