By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description Vanessa Ezekowitz 2009-06-02 14:42:34 CDT
Using Jaunty here, with K3B 1.0.5 (for KDE3 of course)...

After burning a DVD, K3B finishes up everything, closes the disk, and then suddenly aborts, complaining that it can't eject the disc. The burned disc seems to be fine, of course. On the system in question, the drive shows up as /dev/sg1 (rather than the usual /dev/hdc). It is a Memorex 530L drive.

This occurs whether I'm burning a DVD ISO, or a disc full of separate files (e.g. a backup).

This does NOT occur when burning an Audio CD, or at least.

When K3B fails to eject, I can do so myself by hitting the button on the drive, or via the command line (not as root), or by right-clicking the drive icon and selecting "Eject".

I have finally succeeded at building K3B properly under Jaunty, so this bug might have been fixed. Can you upgrade and report back with the results?

Thanks!

This one still persists after the update.
Comment 3 Darrell 2012-11-19 16:19:43 CST
Closing as won't fix because this report was written more than three years ago against KDE 3.5.10, the original reporter Vanessa has provided no follow-up, and nobody else has reported the same problem in subsequent versions of Trinity.

If the original reporter Vanessa can still replicate this bug then please reopen the report. :)

Note: the new TDEHW libs does have some eject issues, as noted in bug report 850. There are no known related problems with HAL systems.
