By default, Bugzilla does not search the list of RESOLVED bugs.
You can force it to do so by putting the upper-case word ALL in front of your search query, e.g.: ALL tdelibs
We recommend searching for bugs this way, as you may discover that your bug has already been resolved and fixed in a later release.

Description John Culleton 2012-05-09 18:46:32 CDT
When I first started Trinity sometimes I could use
the full virtual 1920 x1080 screen even when the resolution was
lower. Then this capability disappeared. I got it back
briefly by switching from VGA to HDMI but that trick
doesn't work now.

This feature of KDE 3.5 is one of the main reasons
I installed Trinity.

This would be an Xorg feature, not a TDE specific feature. You might want to look into the Xorg configuration to see if there is a way to force a virtual desktop size.
